Disconnect an account

Sign in, open Settings, select Disconnect on the account, then Disconnect and delete. Workspace owners and admins can do this. It removes the account, deletes its stored access token, tells Meta to stop sending us events for it, and permanently deletes that account's campaigns, their DM history, its tracked links and their click counts, its contacts and broadcasts, and its follower history. Links already sent in DMs stop working. This cannot be undone.

To stop sending without deleting anything, pause the campaigns instead.

Delete Workspace Data

To delete a whole workspace, including its campaigns, logs, webhook payloads, billing reference and operational diagnostic data, email privacy@i8chat.com from the email address you use to sign in. Include the workspace name and the Instagram username connected to it.

Removing the app from Instagram or Facebook

If you remove i8chat from your Instagram or Facebook account settings, Meta notifies us automatically and we delete the connection, its campaigns, its message and comment logs, its contacts, and the stored webhook payloads without any further action from you. The same happens when you submit a data deletion request through Meta, which returns a confirmation code you can check on this page.

Comments and messages also pass through our processing queue while they are handled. Those temporary copies are deleted within 7 days of processing, and failed ones within minutes.

If a business messaged you through i8chat

i8chat sends messages for the businesses that use it. If one of them replied to your comment or messaged you through i8chat and you want the data we hold about you deleted, email privacy@i8chat.com with your Instagram username and the business account that messaged you. We delete your entries in delivery logs, your contact record with its broadcast records, and stored copies of Meta notifications that mention your account (the same deletion a data deletion request through Meta triggers), then reply to confirm.

Verification

We may ask you to verify control of the email address or connected business account before deleting data. Deletion requests are processed as quickly as practical unless retention is required for legal, billing, fraud prevention, or security reasons.
